It is my understanding that in Great Britain, judges have wide latitude to dismiss cases they deem frivolous and a waste of the Crown’s time and resources. Apparently, if judges in the U.S. have similar discretion, they are reluctant to interfere with a legal industry less interested in justice than in making money for lawyers and their firms.

More fake news from NR. The lawsuit (not the fake article referenced) was to determine whether the river itself had standing. This was settled quite some time ago where the court found that a forest could have standing and therefore the ability to sue and be sued. It has nothing to do with trying to created personhood.

There is a punishment for frivolous lawsuits. Courts can impose sanctions on a party for bringing frivolous or meritless claims, either upon request or of their own accord. Do you guys even run this drivel by a lawyer?

They need to let them pay for the stupid cases, Fi this garbage, quit wasting, time, $, get to taking care of more important things that actually matter + make the world a much better place for kids, elderly/veterans + animals. Set a better example!

Well, Trump will be disappointed.

Without frivolous law suits, how will he intimidate his political enemies and sexual assault accusers?

How about the one where corporations were declared people🤔

Todd Joseph · December 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm

The judges have some authority here.

Stephen Cullum · December 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm

Corporations are people. Nonsense of course but how the Supreme Court ruled.
