This is a prime example of why media consolidation, especially under a company controlled almost entirely by one family, is a very bad for the public interest.

Misanthraloperer · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Geez, almost sounds like something State Media would do.

heybudbud · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

>“WSJ edit page has gone full bats–t, now hosting an op-ed suggesting Trump pardon everyone, including himself”

WOW. Just wow.

fl0dge · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Is Murdoch going to be implicated through state propaganda involvement? Oh please tell me it goes that deep

AbrasiveLore · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

**Facts:**

Sean Hannity is always among the first in US media to start pushing the newest Kremlin talking points.

Sean Hannity hosted exclusive interviews with Assange repeatedly.

Joe Scarborough called him an “apparatchik for Russia”.

Ex-CIA Director Michael Hayden had this to say:

> Michael Hayden, who led the CIA under Bush from 2006 to 2009, told Brookings Institution senior fellow Benjamin Wittes in an email sent over the weekend that “Hannity has entered the pantheon of a true propagandist.”
>
> “And his behavior reminds me of a conversation I had with a political officer in the mid-1980s when I was an air attaché to Bulgaria,” he continued.
>
> “I asked this officer what truth was to him,” Hayden said. **“He responded without hesitation, ‘Truth is what serves the party.’ And there you have it.”**

Ex-Speaker of the House John Boehner said he was “fucking nuts” after he started going off the deep end.

There were rumors (unsubstantiated) from a former Secret Service member that Hannity has been in talks with RT.

Murdoch’s news and tabloid outlets in the UK aggressively pushed Brexit, giving Farage and co unprecedented visibility and amplification.

**Conclusion (Speculation):**

Sean Hannity is a mercenary propagandist, and Fox was more than happy to give him a platform and reap the benefits. Murdoch’s networks willingly sold their audiences to Russian interests.

Murdoch could be sweating because his networks’ roles in promoting Russian propaganda in the US and UK is teetering ever closer to full exposé.

I’m not sure the probe will reach Murdoch, but I have a strong suspicion Hannity is mana-fucked. I hope Tucker Carlson is roped in as well, he’s been the cleaned up mouthpiece for normalizing white supremacy for months now.

We are fast approaching the stage where we have to decide as individuals, and as a nation whether anything will be done about journalistic integrity. Any media source, like Murdoch’s outlets, that have an overwhelming capacity to convince ~30% of the population need some sort of oversight. Coordinated campaigns of misinformation should not be legal.

princehal · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Right Wing Fake News In Action.

billthomson · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

>Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, a member of the Judiciary Committee, told reporters on Monday “frankly I’m having a rough time seeing why in the world they’re indicting him.”

From a clearly impartial source today.

GODGK · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Sounds like a coordinated propaganda campaign the likes of which Herr Goebbels would be proud.

Gamegis · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Mueller’s a paragon of strong values, selfless service, & leadership. These people have no shame in any of these baseless attacks on his character. They would attack Jesus if it meant protecting this administration.

Mattenth · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

The WSJ [editorial](https://www.wsj.com/articles/democrats-russians-and-the-fbi-1508971759) was particularly troubling. It’s as if they forgot the timeline or basic facts.

That editorial asks at the top:

> Did the bureau use disinformation to trigger its Trump probe?

The answer is obviously “no.” Manafort was wiretapped in 2014. Before the dossier. Before the Trump campaign. His wrongdoings go back years.

The Trump campaign entered into the FBI investigation the moment they appointed Manafort.

I don’t understand how a paper with such integrity posts such a ridiculous opinion piece.

Clit_Trickett · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

This is even more disgusting than discrediting Mueller.

They’re going after the judge in the Manafort case

skywarka · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Once again, as an Australian, I apologise for being indirectly associated with everything Murdoch does.

Serenity- · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Is there any chance that FOXNews gets taken down for collusion with the Russians? Serious question.

Baggabones88 · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

For anyone curious as to what assets Newscorps. (Murdoch) own, here is the wiki page: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assets_owned_by_News_Corp

Infidel8 · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

The WSJ editorial page may as well be written by Breitbart staffers.

overlordpotatoe · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

I think we’re going to be finding out that certain news outlets had more involvement in all this than we know about. They’re way too keen to go to bat for Trump at a time when it would be wise to start distancing themselves.

SuperAwesomeNinjaGuy · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Shills gonna shill.

FIoopIlngIy · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

I think Murdoch may be wrapped up in this.

FOX, the WSJ and his other rags are bleeding out any credibility they had left over this. He wouldn’t do that unless somewhere, someone in the traitor ecosystem knew something about him that Murdoch doesn’t want people to know.

ItchyThunder · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

This guy does not care about America – he came here from Australia to make as much money as possible, and the rest be damned. It is amazing that this one shitty Australian controls so many conservative minds with his BS.

MrMadcap · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

It’s almost like media empires are an inherently bad thing, or something.

crazzzz · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

This is gonna sound so bad but I just can’t wait for murdoch to bite the dust he has played a major part in dividng this country

kvn9765 · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

The Private Market simply doesn’t work against a billionaire who uses his media empire as a propaganda outlet. It’s time for regulation.

PresidentNEWSROOM · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Is there any doubt that Sincliar will also require their local news stations across the country to air Mueller-bashes?

Tangpo · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Murdoch is actively aiding and abetting treason

imsurly · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

This is such an embarrassment for the WSJ. Someone please do a hostile takeover of News Corp.

mydropin · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

>“This is embarrassing for every good reporter at that paper,” New York Times reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones tweeted of the Journal editorial board’s call for Mueller to resign and Democrats to be investigated.

LOL

For the life of me I cannot understand why so many people are throwing away their professional credibility by aligning themselves with this obvious slow motion trainwreck.

FetcherLeVache · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

I noticed that starting yesterday.

Hey there all you high paid wordsmiths and investigative journalists over at the WSJ. You stalwart defenders of truth in reporting.

You going to go home tonight, look your children and spouses in the eye and say what a great job you did for your country today? Keeping fellow Americans informed? Going to sleep well tonight?

ApollosCrow · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Traitors and their propaganda. Simple as that.

We are so far beyond recognizable partisan politics at this point.

Weisse_Rose · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Propaganda.

boredatw0rk_ · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Nypost won’t even mention the third indictment.

ClintGreasewood · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

This is coming down to self preservation. They hitched their wagon to a horse that is heading off a cliff. Now they a attacking the investigation, its only a matter of time that they start distancing themselves from Trump.

Matasa89 · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Traitors. Traitors everywhere.

ICanAdmitIWasWrong · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Fox News is a Putin propaganda outlet! Been saying it for months!

SpudgeBoy · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

It’s almost like this is exactly why all of our media should not come from 6 companies.

dread_lobster · October 31, 2017 at 4:25 pm

Murdoch is civilization cancer.
