How much would we have to pay Mexico to take Texas back? Abbott, Cruz, Goofy Gohmert, etc., are part of the package…lol

Roberto Villarreal · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Texas betrayed Mexico in the XIX Century, after pioneers that had been accepted as immigrants turned around and declared independence, so it would not be the same time it happens, would the US allow

Randy Sparling · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

After reading the article I’m very impressed by her. All the quotes CNN thought were damning were actually all correct none more than Texas would be better off on it’s own.

Wil Randolph · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Let them. Pull out all military and military support. End all federal disaster relief now and forever. Appoint ambassadors. Sever all legislative ties. Require a separate currency exchange. Began trade negotiations for commerce. Re-route all pipelines going thru Texas from the gulf, etc.

It’s a huge job and it likely would never happen but let them go and see how they hold up.

CW Scott · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

I’m all for Texas becoming an independent Republic. I don’t think we would miss them. If they do become independent the oil & gas industries located there should not be allowed to continue receiving American taxpayers subsidies of between $10 & $52 billion annually.

Mary-Jo Foley · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Great, a rancher pro cattlemen association ahole who doesn’t believe in s federal government, or any environmental protections, being in charge of environmental issues. Trumpworld again.

Paul Shelton · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

She was correct, we would be. We would be better off if California suceeded as they keep saying and then we would have a republican president and Congress everytime, and California would be broke begging to come back. The problem in this country is california, New york and illinois trying to push the same agendas that broke thier states down the rest of our throats.

Susan Beasley · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Crappy fake news would be better off to move to russia and stay and get their crappy journalist to eat Killary and Oduma’s feces everyday of their lives. TRUMP 2020 !!!!!!

Yvonne Erickson · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

All the trolls spouting CNN is fake news, but still find time ALL DAY LONG to watch it. What’s wrong fluffers, fox just not doing it for you anymore? Perhaps you should try saying something positive your President is doing for YOU. Oh, my bad! You can’t think of ONE thing positive he has done! Unless of course you are a wealthy corporation or Russian!

Rich Luksza · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Wtf, why aren’t you concerned with Russia getting access to more then 20% of the United States uranium CNN? This was one of the primary reasons I voted for Trump last year, you’d have to be a moron not to see the connections if you took some time to investigate it. Russia never donated before, or after the deal, donated hundreds of millions to the Clinton foundation. Don’t be a another moron, Russia isn’t big advocates for AIDS in Africa. If your not awake, get informed….

Anyone with more then two functioning brain cells would agree Texas would be better off as an Independent Republic just as the rest of the Nation would be better off if The Socialist Republics of LA and the Bay Area were kicked out of the Union.

Tracy A. Wilt · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

We’d all be happier if Texas seceded, too.

Keykukala Smith · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Oh we’ve got a real winner here. Texas can go it’s own way in my opinion. They just lock everybody up there anyway.

Christine Matthews · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

3 weeks late and Trump has still not enacted Russian sanctions and now today Trump has closed the office that enacts them

Kenny Wilburn · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

This woman will make a fine addition to his cabinet. They are all inept. Losing!!

Warren Col · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Texas has been trying to leave the union for quite some time. Long before trump.

Tom Tumminia · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Yes, texas, kansas, should separate and go on their own, only to be swallowed up by mexico.

Rob Olson · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Hillary didn’t get enough pre-debate questions

William Schaedler · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

I agree. I’ve never liked Texas. Too many rednecks and cowboys. Also Texas is very violent.

Brian Campbell · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

The US would be better off if Texas were an independent republic

Hudson Lee Hudson Lee · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

I was born in Texas and proud of it, very Proud of it. But I have had the privilege and opportunity to live in many places and countries. I have seen how others have lived and how their government worked for or maybe not for the people. America has been ruled by the elite for far too many years. Not since Reagan has America been for the people.
Makes each day a Wonder where we the American people will be in the future.
But back to Texas, you tell me what other states could support themselves without the need from other states. Texas has everything needed to support and maintain it self.
We have large amount of great farm lands lots of them.
Great ranches to breed cows sheep goats milk, chicken farms egg farms.
We have large amounts of oil production, we have many great fishing places beaches, the list goes on and on.
So why not be a solverent nation. We don’t have any needs here from any place or country or state. We benefit the rest of our country better than most. Not one state can say as much. Not only do we have our own strength but that of the American people.
So yes Kathleen’s statement is that of truth. But as member of America I stand as a Texan and an American.
So rightly I believe we can survive the storm that we as a country have been going through and still are we will continue to be the greatest nation and we under a respectable leader ship will prosper.

Gary Bachler · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Ray Hill · October 31, 2017 at 5:41 pm
