Former US Attorney Gene Rossi Says Judge T. S. Ellis Not One To Sit Back | Morning Joe | MSNBC

Billy Smith · August 13, 2018 at 6:29 pm

I like Rossi. Super factual.

Billy Smith · August 13, 2018 at 6:31 pm

If Manafort is found guilty the judge is not corrupt.

Aramai Jonassi · August 13, 2018 at 6:39 pm

Judge Ellis has been infected by Donald Trump corruption. He needs to be removed because he's already tainted the trial. No one has time for his bipolar narcissism.

Don Anderson · August 13, 2018 at 6:42 pm

Me thinks that lady justice with the scales is peeking out of her blindfold!

Rory Fraser · August 13, 2018 at 6:50 pm

So nice having joe on mute

How much does fRump Love_Putin?
Former officials: Trump seemed prepared to lift Russia sanctions 'in exchange for absolutely nothing'
The Trump administration reportedly looked into lifting US sanctions on Russia just days after the president's inauguration, and one former official at the State Department said that if those efforts were successful, it would have given the Russians "exactly what they wanted in exchange for absolutely nothing."

Paul Henri · August 13, 2018 at 7:25 pm

The truth is is this is bull crap judges are not supposed to be putting their hands on any kind of scale they're not supposed to interfere with the prosecution or the defense attorneys trying to do their job. In a real democracy he would be reprimanded and if he keeps on doing it he would be removed from the bench in a real democracy. In the real court of law this is not allowed judges are supposed to make sure that the prosecution and the defense attorneys stay in line they're not supposed to be telling witnesses that they don't want to hear them in that they can step down from the bench that is not acceptable in a court of law. I don't know I'm not a lawyer but I can definitely say that this is not right in the court of law.

Olyv Oyl · August 13, 2018 at 7:25 pm

This man has my rapt attention. It is not often that I listen all the way through to something on Morning Joe. No interruptions from Joe and no cross talk from Mika.

Paul Henri · August 13, 2018 at 7:26 pm

Cuz what this judge is doing is he is tainting the jury. Now injuries are sequestered they're not supposed to look at the news media our newspaper are even talk to the other members of the jury. The same thing goes for the judge the judge is not supposed to inflect his opinions on the case that is being heard. I mean what he is doing is going against everything that is within the Constitution and within the court of law.

Olyv Oyl · August 13, 2018 at 7:27 pm

Wow! So many trolls. The Ruskies are hard at it.

Paul Henri · August 13, 2018 at 7:28 pm

Like I'm saying I am not a lawyer but I do know that when the prosecutor wanted to show pictures of the things that Paul manafort has bought and that should have been accepted it should not have been denied. For the main fact is the whole case is about Manna Ford committing fraud bank fraud and defrauding the government when it comes to his taxes. Which means those pictures go to in tent which is a part of the trial. This just shows the hypocrisy that is the United States when it comes to the Constitution and the Very laws of the United States. When you as a nation can't even uphold your own laws within the Constitution you are a fraud.

Paul Kudla · August 13, 2018 at 7:46 pm

I personally believe the judge is good. He is not incapable of decisiveness. He’s retrospecting in real time. So, mind you, to judge by law is conscience and science of law. So, we’ll see. Hopeful I am with the force.

Jonathan K · August 13, 2018 at 8:13 pm

The evidence appears to be very strong and any jury that realizes this will find in favor of the prosecution

quest 77036 · August 13, 2018 at 8:16 pm

Will Trump pardon manafort?

Colin Mahoney · August 13, 2018 at 8:17 pm

Trump is suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD)

(The hallmarks of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) are grandiosity, a lack of empathy for other people, and a need for admiration. … People with narcissistic personality disorder believe they are superior or special, and often try to associate with other people they believe are unique or gifted in some way)

Everything Trump does nowadays is a projection of his own self loathing and self hatred!
Trump just hates himself and everything that surrounds him, so he is continually lashing out at anything or anyone that he sees as being different or whom he perceives are challenging him or disagrees with him!

All of these Trade Sanctions and Threats against Allies and Foes alike are a result of his self loathing and self hatred and his Narcissistic Personality Disorder!

The imminent danger Trump Poses to himself, the U.S and the World at large is REAL!
When Trump is not getting the attention and admiration he needs he will lash out at everyone and everything surround him!
And let's not forget
That Trump carries with him
Everywhere he goes
The launch Codes for the whole of the U.S's Nuclear Arsenal!

Superb analysis from attorney Rossi. Excellent.

vintage stereo · August 13, 2018 at 8:44 pm

and still there are many trump followers who believe that Manafort is not guilty, these stupid people forget that Manafort steal from them….Trumps followers are so dumb

Robert Green · August 13, 2018 at 9:48 pm

Judge T. S. ELLIOT has been very unprofessional in this important case. Judge T. S. Elliot seems to side with the defendants. Whether Judge T. S. Elliot wants a job in Trump’s Organisation when he leaves the court is an open question.

Toni Olson · August 13, 2018 at 10:07 pm

Awe shame on you, you had a good interview with facts for us to ponder on then you stop.

Anthony Butler · August 13, 2018 at 10:51 pm

It is obvious that this Judge has a Conservative bias, and that he has made some errors, but in the end he has no choice but to convict Manafort. The evidence is overwhelming and Manafort has no out.

Paul Tomlin · August 13, 2018 at 11:38 pm

Very interesting clip! I'm wondering if any of the folks who are commenting actually watched it.

Austin Dudley · August 13, 2018 at 11:44 pm

Sounds like the judge is a little eccentric. Maybe retire and pursue comedy?

The Interested · August 13, 2018 at 11:49 pm

Oh my god….help us..

dominic pelle · August 14, 2018 at 1:06 am

Ellis III is bias ..and was schooled on national security issues and confronted with evidence. He had no choice but to capitulate.. AND EAT HUMBLE PIE.
