They should've had an older host speak about the loss of Burt Reynolds. They're too young to remember how famous and well liked he was. I'm sure at least one of them has seen a movie of his BUT it's just not the same as someone who's been around longer and would know more about how much of a real shining star he was. He will be deeply missed by those of us that have seen his movies in the theaters or drive-ins. I watched Smokey and the Bandit from the tailgate of a pickup truck. RIP, sir.

Doc Lewis · September 7, 2018 at 7:36 pm

OFF TOPIC:  What was your favorite Burt Reynolds' movie?     I loved 3 equally:   The Best Little Wh*rehouse in Texas  AND  The Cannonball Run (and Cannonball Run II)  AND  Smokey and the Bandit               Edit:  Yes, I included CB2 because I love him and Dom together…just like I love Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder together. They make awesome pairs and play well off of each other even when the movies are sub-par.

Don't know guy and never really cared for him…didn't hate him though…have fun in the afterlife.

TheMultialdo2009 · September 7, 2018 at 8:21 pm

I watched most of his movies and they were all entertaining. I was surprised he didn't take "Murphy's Romance" (with Sally Field). That would have been interesting to film and watch.

TheMultialdo2009 · September 7, 2018 at 8:22 pm

Samoa…He was a much better actor than people gave him credit for and he WILL be missed. Rest in peace Burt!!!

Right now, Buford T. Justice is in Hot Pursuit, and The Bandit is laughing, as he's chased across the Universe. RIP Bandit.

I guess Smokey finally caught the Bandit…..R.I.P

vinnieboibluez · September 7, 2018 at 9:22 pm

The sad thing he was not well health wise and there was no one there to help him get medical help.

Gary McAleer · September 7, 2018 at 9:27 pm

Malone, to me, was his finest role because he was a man of virtue!

Josh Valenzuela · September 7, 2018 at 9:47 pm

The Sky Bandit TheBandit025 · September 8, 2018 at 1:04 am

Well Heaven is getting The Real Smokey and the bandit Part 3

Frank Burns · September 8, 2018 at 1:07 am

It feels like it should be hard to imagine Reynolds as Michael Corleone, but somehow I think he could have pulled it off. Maybe not as well as Pacino, but I can picture it, despite his "Bandit" image, which is pretty much the exact opposite.

roger peet · September 8, 2018 at 1:11 am

Reynolds was an icon ???    He made 40 movies that bombed.   Icons don't do that.

Seriously Malfunctioned · September 8, 2018 at 4:02 am
