Tim O’Brien: Trump Could Be Using ‘Mole Hunt’ Tactics To Battle NYT Op-Ed | Velshi & Ruhle | MSNBC

Nathan Giles · September 8, 2018 at 2:05 am

Trump doesn't know what the word 'tactics' means.

Nancy Smith · September 8, 2018 at 2:36 am

When DT first moved to WH, he 'summoned' for his first meetings/breakfasts, a stream of sheriffs. Repeats it every 3 months, always includes a photo shoot. Why? Shoring up backers for the time when an OFFICIAL orders his arrest?

Magna Carta‘s explained of (1215):
What was the primary principle of the Magna Carta?
Magna Carta, which means 'The Great Charter', is one of the most important documents in history as it established the principle that everyone is subject to the law, even the king, and guarantees the rights of individuals, the right to justice and the right to a fair trial.

After watching 2 minutes of this now I see why Trump calls these people fake news. They're actors lying and acting nuts.

The Confederalist · September 8, 2018 at 3:34 am

It was Rod Rosenstein who wrote this opinion piece.

msndrstdwlf BB · September 8, 2018 at 6:18 am

Every day he is in office our country is being damaged while he exploits the vulnerable and panders to corporations and special interest groups that don't have even a rudimentary understanding of how our blessed democratic republic functions or how precious and valuable among the truly is.

Craig Usselman · September 8, 2018 at 7:10 am

Trump yelling at his desk Did you write the op-ed. Light switch chair?????? some one here wrote it.

René Ahlquist · September 8, 2018 at 7:40 am

TRUMP IS REALLY LIKE A COMMON BROOKLYN STREET KID WHO HAPPEND TO GET ALOT OF MONEY, THEN BLEW IT . . . AND BECAME A CON TO RESTORE HIS EGO . . . SO the strange tale of this 'CONMAN OF THE CENTURY' continues . . . the longer it goes, the more we get to see👀 the real person . . . the unsafisticated, unfit, tempermental, bombastic, immature, narsisisstic, and paranoid person . . . and what he is directly, or indirectly doing to damage you, me and all Americans . . . It's time for
to remove this mistaken attempt to change our constitution and force a political takeover by unscrupulous men and their party of theives and thugs . . . no more gangs in the WH and no more racism . . . This is America !!! STAND FOR WHAT IS RIGHT . . . not a con man and his abetors.

James Cassidy · September 8, 2018 at 1:49 pm

Tim’s always bang on the money.

Kim Anderson · September 8, 2018 at 2:27 pm

Self absorbed delinquent that is a business buffoon…a VERY good description…

Pete Urbann · September 8, 2018 at 2:29 pm

Won't focus, Did he not just describe ADSD.

Cosimo Kramarawicz · September 8, 2018 at 2:52 pm

I truly hope the inside resistance is an armed force.

ErykaSoleil · September 8, 2018 at 3:07 pm

I had to look up the reference to Captain Queeg and the strawberries, but it definitely fits.

Charles van der Hoog · September 8, 2018 at 3:12 pm

The bad guys cannot withstand you when you use their own internal standard operating procedures and policies. So far, only Omarosa has done that which is why she has won and came out unscathed. It is time the resistance started to use that principle. Frontal attack never works unless you can overpower the opposition. Use the very thing that made the opponent strong as a weapon against him. All eastern fight sports work that way.
I have used this hard-won information to bring down the Ministry of the Interior in my country. They were begging me to stop, offering me and my lawyer anything I would want. It was an interesting experience that vindicated the know how that I had learned about how criminally inclined organizations work.

carlottawes7t · September 8, 2018 at 3:51 pm

Why not waterboard Kellyanne Conway, Mike Pence, John Kelly and the rest of the WH swamp?

steve ducell · September 8, 2018 at 5:53 pm

Last week , supposedly, Bloomberg leaked a story to a Canadian Newspaper, and the result was another Trump uproar. I suspect that Trump made the leak not Bloomberg News.

I am susspicous that he had a staffer plant the op ed in the NYT, to again create chaos.

Trump thrives in chaos………….just a thought.

Patricia Rice · September 8, 2018 at 6:16 pm

Plaid shirt guy told the world that people are told they have to be enthusiastic and clap for trumpster before they come into rallies! DUH!!!!!!!!!

DharmaOfDog · September 8, 2018 at 6:25 pm

IT BLOWS MY MIND that people STILL think that the APPRENTICE CHARACTER that Trump PLAYED was & is REAL? That his ROLE wasn't SCRIPTED and it was Producers & Editors that shaped that Show. How?! Do they really believe that saying its a REALITY Show means just that? !! Believing that Show Trump is the REAL Trump is like believing that there were people who landed on an Island called GILLIGAN. WAKE UP AMERICA & TURN OFF your TV's.

krash kb · September 8, 2018 at 6:50 pm

A divert to take the focus off his own crimes.

Chashunka · September 8, 2018 at 6:56 pm

Once the anonymous author of the op-ed is found, Trumps pack will spread the word that this hunt was much more successful and much more important than the killings of Osama bin Laden: "This was a hunt the like of which the world has never seen before!"

Dan O'Hiley · September 8, 2018 at 11:46 pm

Trump is a.mendacious, petty, craven, draft dodging pig.

HccRjs Shen · September 9, 2018 at 1:37 am

Why can't a billionaire mogel solve his own problems? Americans have to solve their own problems. Tell Trump to do his fn job.

Trent Ladson · September 9, 2018 at 1:54 am

morgana marvel · September 9, 2018 at 2:47 am

What if someone offered him a gig in Vegas?
Wouldn't he love that?

morgana marvel · September 9, 2018 at 3:05 am

As long as there's the fancy house, fancy office, plane, helicopter, international travel, domestic golfing, & most of all the 24/7 SS, entourage of yes sir, no sir, Mr President….
What's to get him to want to go? It's not painful to have all that. He can twit insults as he pleases. & he can even bully & humiliate other countries – like Canada.
All his bliss.
Ppl wld have to have to have the courage to refuse to kowtow, not do his dirty work, make him listen & follow advice, make him stop taking it all for granted.
Make him show respect, gratitude. Then he doesn't have the same show to perform.
That is what he has to do – the act, the part.
Supporting cast, props, scenery, directors, etc., readily provided;
he just flits as the star, & hobnobs with world leaders.
Give him another venue to do that stuff.
As long as those elements of his routine are undoubtedly at his beck & call,
he can't say no. He has to grip tighter.
Stop the production. CUT! EDIT!

Deborah Hoffman · September 9, 2018 at 5:32 am

Amazing how many amoral people in this country and especially in power over the welfare of the people.

Deborah Hoffman · September 9, 2018 at 5:37 am

If these people had any brains, they would quit. Walk out en masse.

Robert Howard · September 9, 2018 at 8:53 am

I have been sitting on this for some time but now feel compelled to reveal the identity of the mole and author of the NYT Op Ed. It's sad folks, very sad.

This person has the complete confidence of the president who has held his council in highest esteem – more than career public servants, more than our allies, more than all the generals and diplomats. This is particularly treasonous in light of the importance of this persons role in this administration.

So now I give you the name of this terrible turncoat. He is none other than –

Vladimir Putin.

Allan Patterson · September 9, 2018 at 11:51 am

Remember when Presidents focused on policy?

Jim Mauch · September 9, 2018 at 1:38 pm

Your underestimating middle America. We have alway known he is the clown in the horror story …but he’s our clown.

Mary7 · September 9, 2018 at 1:56 pm

The Republican Party backed trump that's why he's president he didn't win base on citizens beliving that he was better. The Republican Party thought that they would be able to control him and they failed!! The Republican Party failed the American citizens because they choose party over country!

Ken Panzer · September 9, 2018 at 2:31 pm

Steve Bannon made the treasonous statement that "it is our objective to dismantling the state" Trump has provided the perfect distraction. The Art of War !!

Todd Taliaferro · September 9, 2018 at 2:52 pm

Republicans are willing to help destroy American democracy in exchange for tax cuts and quick profits from deregulation, both of which are clearly bad for America in the long run.
In light of this knowledge, continuing to support Trump amounts to consciously committing treason.

Debra Rowley · September 9, 2018 at 3:11 pm

Thirty percent of some people would side with a pedophile, mass murderer.

Morien 50 · September 9, 2018 at 8:58 pm

It's Captain Queeg (Trump ol Orange stain)and the missing strawberries all over again ! Keep an eye out for the steel ballbearings.
