‘Tech Tyranny’: Amazon is a trillion dollar company, but despite that mammoth valuation many of its workers aren’t even making it into the middle class, and instead remain dependent on government programs to survive. One talk show host thinks ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’s’ criticism of Amazon and other Big Tech monopolies is flawed. #Tucker

She probably has no problem with American owned sweatshops in 3rd world countries either. They say the eyes are the window to the soul… I see something very disturbing in hers.

ccoghill23 · September 8, 2018 at 7:28 pm

Ummmm this is the capitalism that you right thinkers want. Low overhead for high pay to CEO’s. Oh also, your president just gave him a tax break for his corporation and also him in general. And you all are outraged by welfare? Paying for welfare gets you all upset but trump gives him a tax break, that’s unpaid, and you say winning. Some one explain…

Ronald Knight · September 8, 2018 at 7:29 pm

Not paying employees right is just wrong, how can you be this selfish, for one person to make so much money, that he could end world hunger for a year can not pay is employee. shame on Amazon. No wonder he is so rich , by screwing people over.

Jay Bui · September 8, 2018 at 7:32 pm

Is Tucker arguing for increasing the minimum wage?

BigBadDogIV · September 8, 2018 at 7:46 pm

Tucker is usually right when it comes to this stuff but on this one he's dead wrong. Tucker Carlson is sounding like Bernie Sanders here. The Libertarian is right. He should only have to pay them what they're worth and if they don't like it then they can always find a job elsewhere. If they don't make enough money as is then they can do what many other Americans are already doing and get a second job.

John Zabik · September 8, 2018 at 7:48 pm

Liberals are hypocrites because they slam big Corporations that make huge profits like Uber and Amazon that don't take care of their own employees but this Liberal support this Corporation and support this Corporations greed…Lmao..they only support their own agenda when it benefits them

Dennis Boivin · September 8, 2018 at 7:48 pm

I do believe, if and owner of a company, makes enormous wealth, from that company, it would be good, for all, the company share their wealth, and treat their employees with a good living wage. History will tell you, many Labor Unions were started because of the unfair wages, wealthy companies, failed to produce.

John Zabik · September 8, 2018 at 7:50 pm

This lady is a Liberal that lives in a Mansion…lol

Paul Jones · September 8, 2018 at 7:56 pm

Tucker envious of the man billions, you his bad minded.

weirdshibainu · September 8, 2018 at 7:57 pm

Government subsidies of employees are in every business strata. I work for a company that does 100 million a year in sales. Probably a third of all production employees are on SNAP. Most are illegals that have far too many kids they can afford, buy factor in SNAP as a way to raise a family.

anthbatt30 · September 8, 2018 at 8:06 pm

Should employees be compensated based on the value they add? Or should they be compensated based on what they need?

Paul Phillips · September 8, 2018 at 8:08 pm

Taxpayers should not be subsidizing Amazon employees.. but we do not require businesses to act like charities. It would be engaging in charity to pay someone more than they are worth. While we can argue that Amazon is capable of engaging in that kind of charity, many businesses are not. So long as the employee/employer relationship is not based in compulsion then there's no issue with what they are paying.

Dwayne Coy · September 8, 2018 at 8:20 pm

Working at Amazon is not compulsory. It’s not his fault that workers chose to take a job working at Amazon even though they are currently struggling to make ends meet. They do have other options. Or, they can put in the time, do a good job and get the skills and experience necessary to move up to better paying opportunities.

Cedric Blum · September 8, 2018 at 8:26 pm

Tucker argues for capitalism with fair wages and a social safety net, the crazy lady argues for mass starvation as a negotiation tactic for labour. I think Tucker's society is the more free and fair between the two of them.

Marcus · September 8, 2018 at 8:26 pm

Tucker direct your questions to Trump and his history of employment and sourcing materials ad not paying taxes..lol

aaron sheats · September 8, 2018 at 8:26 pm

take food stamps away, get rid of the all these programs and that will solve the problem, he will have to pay his employees fairly, and the money goes into the economy simple right

freewillobjector · September 8, 2018 at 8:29 pm

Corporate welfare is a good thing, from the same people that boycott Whole Foods.

Marilee Stetson · September 8, 2018 at 8:31 pm

She would have fit right in with the Gilded Age robber baraons.

Truthfinder · September 8, 2018 at 8:32 pm

Jeff got rich by building a neo-slavery business empire. He's trampling on the backs and heads of his employees to succeed. How immoral and disgusting!

kevin kelly · September 8, 2018 at 8:39 pm

The richest man sure doesn't pay taxes ,especially in the U.K . The same can be said of Apple,Starbucks e.t.c.

Marta Caballero · September 8, 2018 at 8:43 pm

This woman is no libertarian. Sounds more like a progressive to me.

Truthfinder · September 8, 2018 at 8:45 pm

Change those regulations NOW! What?? What on earth is going on in America? This CAN'T be real. This kind of regulation sounds like fiction, written by someone with a very wild imagination. OMG!

sean rogers · September 8, 2018 at 8:47 pm

This "lady" is crazy if she doesn't think that we have moral obligations unto one another. Try to live in a society without morality, see how long it lasts.

Wagdy KOTB BAHBAH · September 8, 2018 at 8:49 pm

celebrates slavery and state ownership of slaves !

Sandra Perales · September 8, 2018 at 9:00 pm

Bezos is a trillionaire. What a nut job.

Bill Stockstill · September 8, 2018 at 9:01 pm

I believe the correct term is Slave labor wages. This is a leftist agenda. Keep the rich rich and everyone else dependent. I know it's his money BUT if it were not for the low wag worker, he would have to pay better wages. Build the wall. Fix our education system so everyone gets an education that is constitutional and fair to all. As President Trumps economy builds so will the wages. People there is one thing you need to ask yourselves. If you bust your ass for someone and still need welfare then i believe as an american you have the right to find better employment. Remember there now are more jobs available then there are workers so you can move to a better place of employment. This forces the wages to climb. If you believe you are worth more, ask for more. Don't get it, go somewhere else. Brought to you by a true believer in the republican Trump team. Red wave in November and a solid victory for us again in 2020. We are on our way back. Hey don't forget to stand for the flag. Be proud to be an american again. It's okay not to be a democrat.

Sandra Perales · September 8, 2018 at 9:03 pm

Maybe, it’s morally right if your a trillionaire that you would have a moral right to provide a somewhat living wage for your employees. More than a living wage.

Winston Rice · September 8, 2018 at 9:04 pm

Antitrust laws were created to prevent an Amazon from completely taking over an entire industry and eliminating competition that could provide workers with competitive wages, but the competition no longer exists. It won't matter for long because 5G cell and the AI quantum computer BEAST MACHINE will supplant 90% of human labor; and then what?

BIWUL BURB BURB · September 8, 2018 at 9:11 pm

He has the truth she sucks.

Michael Davis · September 8, 2018 at 9:15 pm

Tucker is kind of sounding like a leftist on this one and I’m usually a big fan of his. We shouldn’t be talking about Amazon employees anymore than we should be talking about any employees from any company that are on public assistance. I worked for Amazon for 10 years and know for a fact that they are very competitive in their compensation. If there are people on food stamps that work there they are probably working part time in a entry level unskilled position. They can choose to find another job if they want. My position is the mainstream conservative view and it doesn’t change just because we’re talking about Amazon. If people are willing to work for a certain wage then why should we be griping about the company offering the job?

cohen1934 · September 8, 2018 at 9:16 pm

It's ironic that a socialistic practice allows the worst of capitalism to successfully manifest itself. Abandoing religion will make this kind of immoral practice the norm; why would anyone not seek to maximally benifit oneself as there is no consequences.

- Vortex - · September 8, 2018 at 9:19 pm

Tucker is amazing.besoz is Satan

Del Price · September 8, 2018 at 9:22 pm

Ditzy and vacuous. "He pays them starvation wages because he can" pathetic

James Buck · September 8, 2018 at 9:27 pm

This lady is really spaced out, if it wasn't for his workers he would not be rich lol or have a business

America · September 8, 2018 at 9:30 pm

No one is forced to work in Amazon. No company has a moral obligation they have a legal obligation to pay according to the law. No one is forced to take welfare either. Amazon pays according to the law you take it or you don't. The lady was logical & collected. Tucker's arguments comes from emotion. She won the debate.

D Lll · September 8, 2018 at 9:30 pm

Your wrong Tucker. Totally and completely wrong….Why should Amazon pay employees more if they have already agreed to work for less. These jobs are VERY low skill jobs that a monkey can probably do. The correct thing to do would be to Attack the government for creating the welfare state in the first place.

David Alan · September 8, 2018 at 9:31 pm

Funny how a couple decades ago everyone wanted to save the Amazon Rain Forest and now we have a company like Amazon wasting away the world through excessive packaging & shipping. IE: cardboard and gas / diesel.

MrPolib2009 · September 8, 2018 at 9:34 pm

Few times I disagree with Carlson

Ronald A Trump · September 8, 2018 at 9:34 pm

Trump over soon! Trump supporters ask your money back for clapping and cheering.

acemaster916 · September 8, 2018 at 9:39 pm

I would have to disagree with Tucker on this one. Employers should pay thier employees the amount they agreed to prior to employment. No ones forcing them to work there. That's what a free market is. Limited government intervention. Example: Just because Mc Donald's CEO makes a ton of money, doesn't mean you deserve 15 dollars flipping burgers.

Dj rA-b · September 8, 2018 at 9:54 pm

She doesn't know what she talking about

knalle kalle · September 8, 2018 at 9:55 pm

Well, I mean, Amazon could also just move on to automate those jobs. Let the robots and drones do most of the work. More efficiency and less complaints.

QuizPubUK · September 8, 2018 at 10:01 pm

Like Tucker points out, it's his employees that helped him make his billions so the least he can do is reward them for their hard work and loyalty the disgusting piece of shit. I'm so angry. I think an Amazon boycott is in order, the basterd doesn't even pay taxes ffs.

Toolman · September 8, 2018 at 10:08 pm

She is absolutely right.
Problem is the 100% corruption in government that is causing all these problems …….taxes(most of which are illegal) , the millions of Illegal laws( unconstitutional laws), federal reserve corporation for completely destroying our wealth , the media for not doing its job , the " educational" system (lol) for not even attempting to do its job , etc.
Freedom has been either completely distorted beyond recognition or completely removed from thought by most people .
There will always be super wealthy people , (always has been , always will be) . if you don't like working for them or don't like what they do , that is your fault for staying there or buying their products/services.
But with government complete and total corruption , you don't get to choose(anymore)……everyone has become slaves (literally) to government .
Trump is the only president that I can think of that is trying to expose the corruption( at least some of it). I believe it was Jackson who was the last president who took a serious stab at it by telling the big bankers to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

Boop Doop · September 8, 2018 at 10:09 pm

Lol “libertarian”. Yeah ok. She sure uses a lot of sjw vernacular for a “libertarian”. Sargon is a libertarian. Styx (clank) is a libertarian. She’s just some dumb progressive confusing libertarian with liberal.
