Good. Saudi Arabia is a giant piece of shit.

Paul Tremblay · September 14, 2018 at 8:35 pm

Thank you Spain, it's a start, but Donald trump will fill the vacuum. All the idiots who voted for that fool

Izzy1782 · September 14, 2018 at 8:36 pm

And yet, president after president after president KEEP sucking up to the country that financially backed 9/11. Fuck these shit heels

In the end most countries do it for interests. Whether it be US, Russia China or another country. If US doesn't give the saudis weapons, Russia will take their place to make saudis their allies.

It's a dreamland for "anti SJWs"

This is a week old news, yesterday the government permited the sales of weapons again because of the importance of the contracts that spanish weapon companies have with saudi arabia in what money and unemployment is concerned. Also one of the biggest weapons companies in spain that also makes military boats is partially owned and managed by the spanish government and their biggest client is saudi arabia.

Spaniard here, be careful, it's sad but news here say that the Spanish goverment will eventually sell those bombs, and the sad reason is money.

The issue is that those bombs are made in a region were unemployment is highest (in a country with an already high unemployment rate) and that the Saudis were threatening to cancel a sell of several military ships, and 6000 jobs were in danger.

The goverment not only has changed his mind, the reasons officially given were shameful, saying that those bombs were laser precise, and would make no mistake killing the wrong people.

Truly sad and ashamed of such decision, but a hard decision indeed.. it's hard times, they really are, people dying from bombing on one side, people struggling to have an income to sustain a family on the other.

You just don't know when they are going to stab you in the back.

It's weird that the Republican base of conservatives hate Muslims but their leaders are cozy with them. I guess the leaders are only against Muslims in this country. Sad

2:41 "sell saudi arabia anything that they want dubai" ^-^

saudi arabia buying weapons was a pretty big issue in germany a few years back, too. before or just at the start of their involvement in yemen, I believe. I think it was a bunch of tanks, or perhaps we threw in a submarine, too. german arms exports are crazy, contrasted with how strongly opposed everybody here tends to be to getting german troops properly involved in any war beyond guarding a couple of bases in afghanistan or somewhere in africa in the old UN you-no-shoot-me-I-no-shoot-you-but-technically-I'm-here style.
weapons manufacturers always pat themselves on the back for "not selling to conflict zones" (allegedly) – well that just makes everybody buy more guns ahead of time just in case, and then they have them laying around getting outdated, so they may as well use them. and I guess selling to saudi arabia doesn't count, because they're outsourcing their "conflict zone" right off their southern border?
